I'm not sure how most feel about the results of the first fight. Most feel that Cruz won decisively, but hey, they're about to get back in there and squabble again!

Cruz has been knocked down a peg since the Mares fight, and Mares has remained consistent with winning, maybe not in huge fights, but he's been winning.

Thoughts?

Mares is the guy with like 9 lives.  no matter how he loses he seems to get right back up and better like his previous loss didn't even happen.

Right. He's had the retina issue in the past, came back and won the Super Bantamweight tournament. He got stopped by Gonzalez, fought injuries, came back and won a few, lost to Cruz, became a champ a year later, and now he gets another crack at Cruz.

So yeah....this dude has 9 lives. He's not in Judah's shoes, thankfully, but his management and out of the ring life is better than Judah's.

Judah was too busy being a street dude. We saw his last days and lack of dedication when he lost to Baldomir. I mean, he looked good against Floy early, but in the later rounds, not so much. I remember he came back after a long layoff, fought a tomato can, then got obliterated by Cotto. He was never really the same afterwards. Smh

Hope Mares wins this time. I think a fight between him and Frampton would be very entertaining afterward.
