Now, will Porter try to unify? Doubt it. He's gonna want a rematch with Run-Time.

Close but clearly a Porter win...People were crapping on Porter..bottom line the guy can box and brawl. He is one of the best in the Sport...Period

On another note does Porter get a pass or is he in same boat as Thurman?

Look....y'all can flame me up if you please, but I'm giving him and Thurman a pass. As a matter of fact, I'm giving all favored fighters a pass in their first fights this year. Why? I'm not sure if the holidays messed everybody up or what, but nobody can seem to pull the trigger thus far. Lol

Sad thing is, if Ugas was champ and Porter was the challenger, then I would've given Ugas the same score. Unfortunately, he didn't do enough. Waiting to counter is a good thing, but when did he mount an offense in the fight???

You have to think how the judges think. Most of them are incompetent, so they're going the guy who appears to be making an effort to make the fight (e.g. Rios vs Abril). Shawn was getting tagged on his way in, but he did most of the work in the fight....effective or not.

Ugas was on the end of the jab too much and seemed befuddled by Porter not banging exclusively.. he literally seemed to be beg Porter to stand still  lol
