Bud cleaned out 135, undisputed at 140 and got one of the 147 belts. Won all in undeniable fashion.

He can only fight who is in front of him. Politics aside, he's one of the top dogs at 147 lbs.

Agreed!

I wonder why his Undisputed status isn't mentioned much nowadays.

Because the powers that be want to give every bit of recognition to Loma! He made Walters and Rigo quit, KO'ed a few guys and moved up to get another belt. Everyone is hyping up Loma. No time for Bud.

If Bud was with another promoter, he probably would be hyped up more. But can't really knock Bud for taking the financial stability that he got from Top Rank for him and his family. Plenty have done it before him, Tim Bradley and Manny Pacquiao. Bud will only get legit recognition when he fights and beats someone at PBC, Thurman, Spence, Garcia, Porter, etc.

Crawford's trainer said he could have started out his career at welter. He was fighting smaller guys where he had all of the advantages. His best comp was Postol who he beat but performed stale down the stretch. His next opponent is who?
