R.I.P to one of the greatest defensive fighters in the history of the game! Loved watching him make dudes miss. Even though his record doesn't show wins againts De La Hoya and Juliio Caesar Chavez, I believe he won those fights. They sure don't make them like Sweet Pea anymore!

He had his demons outside of the ring, but so do a lot of folks! #NoJudgement

R.I.P. Champ!!!  :boohoo:

RIP, Champ. Smh

Sad day in the boxing community...and to be hit by a car, of all things. Wow. Prayers to his family. We lost another great one waaay too soon.

I'm surprised more people aren't talking about this. This honestly hit me hard.

True legend who wasn't celebrated enough during his time. Absolutely schooled Chavez. Got robbed multiple times throughout his career. Mastered the art of "hit and don't get hit." RIP Champ

THIS.

I saw a thread on boxing scene and people lit this guy up because they thought he was trolling. I started searching immediately and realized he lost his son a years back...so I thought it was troll thread or a mistake.

By the time I found out it was true, I didn't really know how to feel about it because of the shit I went through to get the facts. Smh. You're right, though...it seems as though nobody in the boxing community's really talking about it. I hate these new "fans", I swear I do!
