FLOYD MAYWEATHER DISCUSSES TRIP TO RUSSIA AND WORLD RECORD HE SET; RESPONDS TO CRITICS UPSET ABOUT TIGER

"The trip was truly amazing. I went there and accomplished what I wanted to accomplish...People are always speaking on certain situations, but everything is always hearsay," stated retired undefeated former pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather, who talked about his recent trip to Russia and responded to critics who took offense to the tiger he was gifted. Check it out!

BT: Champ, it looks like you had a good time over in Russia. Congratulations on adding another record to your resume. You've got two Guinness world records now, right?

FM: Thank you. The trip was truly amazing. I went there and accomplished what I wanted to accomplish. The goal was to get into the Guinness Book of World Records again. I had to do basically a 40-minute boxing exhibition. I'm pretty sure I'm already in the Guinness Book in a lot of other places, you know, like for the highest paid athlete. I don't know the exact day or date, but I also got one for the highest paid athlete in a small timeframe [highest annual earnings for an athlete, $300 million, between June 1, 2014 and June 1, 2015], so we set another goal and we accomplished the goal that we set. It was great. I'm just truly blessed. I'm very, very thankful and very, very appreciative.

BT: You got a lot of love out there. I saw they hooked you up with some early Christmas gifts.

FM: (Laughing) You know, I love the U.S., I bleed the red, white, and blue from day one, but, you know, when I go to other countries, they show me so much love. They show me so much love and embrace me with open arms. I mean, I think that sometimes over here, we're taught hate. I just feel that it's truly amazing that I can go overseas and touch so many different lives, and they really, really appreciate me and appreciate my accomplishments. It's crazy when you can go sometimes and hang out with 20,000 or 30,000 people and everyone is just positive. That's what I like being around and that's what I want to be around. Like I said before, I'm blessed way beyond belief.

BT: There was a little buzz when you posted the picture of the tiger you were gifted. A lot of people automatically assumed that you plan on keeping it locked up in the Big Boy Mansion as a pet.

FM: People are always speaking on certain situations, but everything is always hearsay. Yes, they gave me a tiger, but I'm not getting a tiger to let my tiger run around the city and bite people. They're very, very friendly, but we still must take into consideration that it's a wild animal. Everyone says, "Let the tiger run in the wild." Well you know what? That's what we're doing. I joined a team in Moscow, Russia and we're saving tigers. We're breeding tigers because there's a shortage of tigers in this world. The tigers that are out in the wild are being shot and killed. Human beings are killing tigers for no reason. Before you know it, there won't be anymore tigers in the world. We don't want that to happen. These animals are such beautiful creatures. We're trying to help save tigers. They gave me a certificate for joining a group in Russia that's going to help save tigers. I haven't given my tiger a name yet, but we're going to make sure that it has the best of everything.

BT: I figured that was the case. The idea of a tiger roaming the hallways of the Big Boy Mansion is pretty silly to those that know you. I was surprised to see that PETA was quick to make a statement about the tiger without knowing the full story.

FM: When you really look at some of the people that support PETA, they got on leather shoes; that's an animial. They're sitting on a leather sofa at home; that's an animal. I mean, they got leather coats; that's an animal. Me, myself, I've seen people in support of PETA eat fish, and that's an animal, eat eggs that comes from an animal, eat steak, that's an animal, eat pork, that's an animal, and eat chicken, turkey, and we can go on and on. There's so many hypocrites in this world.

Someone just told me that someone's wife, a singer's wife. Who?

FM: My videographer and close friend, JPConnected, a guy that's very, very tech savvy, gave me some information. JPConnected just told me that John Legend's wife said something?

BT: Oh yeah, Chrissy Teigen. I think she fired a shot at you on Twitter about the tiger situation.

FM: The thing is I've never had anything negative to say about John Legend. I really don't even know what his wife does, whoever she may be. I've never seen John Legend's wife in my life. If I did, I probably just don't remember it. But the thing is this, I'm pretty sure she has a lot going on in her life, but, you know, I'm something to talk about, so that can be something else. I am something to talk about. You see, when she spoke on me, she got her name in the public eye, so that's kind of cool for her. I said this many, many, many years ago, I'm not perfect, I can contradict myself, but I think that people spend too much time worried about what other people are doing. I'm traveling the world on my jet worried about what Floyd is doing. I'm in a positive place mentally. I'm still learning and I'm growing mentally each and every day.
