"I choose to pick Marquez because it's going to be an exciting fight," stated 8-division world champion Manny Pacquiao, who explained why he chose a fourth encounter with four-division world champion Juan Manuel Marquez as opposed to avenging his recent controversial loss to undefeated WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley. According to Pacquiao, his first encounter with Bradley was so easy that it still produced a one-sided affair even though he wasn't 100% focused and took it easy in several rounds. Logically, Pacquiao didn't think people would be interested in seeing a repeat of that performance.
"If I choose Bradley, I don't think people will be interested to watch the fight," Pacquiao explained. "What I need to prove to Bradley. I mean, I did good in our last fight. The fight, it's one-sided fight and I didn't even give 100% focus and I take it light in a few rounds and still the fight is one-sided."
