Althought it was a relatively uneventful affair, Nonito Donaire was still able to score a dominant victory, dropping former champion Toshiaki Nishioka two times en route to a TKO at 1:54 of round 9. Despite the fact that his dance partner was reluctant to throw any punches, Donaire stuck to his game plan and patiently waited for his opportunity to land his power punches.
