FLOYD MAYWEATHER SR: "IT TOOK FLOYD ONE SATURDAY TO EMBARRASS MARQUEZ; PACQUIAO GOING ON HIS FOURTH"

FLOYD MAYWEATHER SR:

"It took Floyd one Saturday to embarrass Marquez; Pacquiao going on his fourth Saturday with him. He didn't beat my son not one second of any round, but he's about to go in his 48th round with Pacquiao, and honestly, the only thing that's a shame about these two fighting for the fourth time is Marquez ain't got the nod not one damn time. Marquez I know won at least one of them damn fights and a lot of people think he won all of 'em," stated world-class trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr., who shared his thoughts on the December 8th fourth encounter between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez. Check it out!

PC: How are you doing Big Floyd?

FM: Everything is going real good.

PC: Have you been watching some of these fights that have been taking place lately?

FM: I was watching the fights the other night, but I fell asleep on them. I trained Karim Mayfield for about a month and a half awhile back. With him being that short, I would like to see him throw more body shots and not head hunt so much, but he got the job done. I just hope the bigger the fights get, he doesn't get smaller. What weight class is he fighting at?

PC: He's a junior welterweight.

FM: Oh, okay. See, he's real short and compact, so he should be working the body. You know Floyd can still fight at 140 if he wanted to. He would be untouchable there. Shit, he's untouchable at any weight, but if he really wanted to go to 140, c'mon man (laughing). It wouldn't be a pretty sight for them guys.

PC: Yeah, no kidding about that. I know when he came out, he was below that.

FM: Oh yeah, man. But honestly Percy, I wanna see him get about 2 more and call it a day. January 24th, he will be 36 years old and no matter how great you are, time is ticking. I think he fight 2 more times, dominates his opponents, and walks away.

PC: Anyone in particular in those two fights you would want to see him fight?

FM: Nobody in particular. I justÂ…he took a chance twice and went up to 154. I wouldn't want to see him do that again. That's too big for my son. He beat De La Hoya and Cotto at that weight, and that shows you how skilled he is, but I don't want to see him fight that high again. People still talking about the Pac-Man fighting my son. (Laughing) Man, get the fuck outta here, man. Floyd wouldÂ…the only thing he could do against Floyd is pack his shit and get on a horse and ride out. Floyd will beat the shit out of Pac-Man, man. Listen, let me tell you something Percy, it took Floyd one Saturday to embarrass Marquez; Pacquiao going on his fourth Saturday with him. He didn't beat my son not one second of any round, but he's about to go in his 48th round with Pacquiao, and honestly, the only thing that's a shame about these two fighting for the fourth time is Marquez ain't got the nod not one damn time. Marquez I know won at least one of them damn fights and a lot of people think he won all of 'em.

PC: So you haven't changed your mind on the outcome of a Mayweather/Pacquiao fight.

FM: I won't ever change my mind on that. That's a mismatch. Anybody that watched my son fight against Marquez and Pacquiao's three fights with Marquez, if they know anything about boxing, they know that's a mismatch.

PC: Earlier you mentioned Father Time pretty much catching up to everyone. Did you get a chance to see Danny Garcia's knockout of Erik Morales?

FM: Yeah man, I watched it. He said he's gonna fight one more time and call it quits. He can't get that last fight out of the way quick enough. He needs to sit down man before he gets hurt. I remember they were talking about him fighting Floyd awhile back (laughing). Floyd would have whooped the shit out of Erik Morales, man. I sit back and I laugh when people say my son ducked fighters because honestly, a lot of fighters talked about fighting Floyd and didn't fight him. Prince Naseem Hamed, Erik Morales, Barrera, all of them guys, man. Nothing ever happened, and it wasn't because Floyd didn't want to fight them; trust me.

PC: Big Floyd, your phone is losing reception bad. Let's catch up in a day or so.

FM: Yeah man, I'm going through this area; we will get together soon. Take care!
