"I feel like I'm walking on clouds, man; sky's the limit. You know, the clouds are under me. You know, I got the world in my hands right now. I feel like I took over the game in this era. You know, it's still Floyd and Pacquiao out there, but, you know, who knows if that fight will happen, but I know what fight can happen, that's me and Pacquiao," stated WBC lightweight champion Adrien Broner, who threw down the gauntlet and let it be known that he's more than willing to test his skills against the world's best, including pound-for-pound champion Manny Pacquiao. Fresh off of his own impressive TKO victory last Saturday over former champion Antonio DeMarco, Broner was in attendance last night to witness Keith Thurman's destruction of Carlos Quintana and Robert Guerrero's brutalizing war with Andre Berto.
Earlier this month, Broner had an opportunity to meet Pacquiao face to face during another visit to California. From the picure he posted on his official Twitter page, Broner looks like he would actually enjoy a height and reach advantage if the two fighters actually did ever step into the ring. While the likelihood of that fight actually happening is doubtful given that Broner, like Floyd Mayweather, is advised by Al Haymon, whose rocky relationship with Pacquiao's promoter Bob Arum has made many a fight difficult to make, one can at least look forward to the fact that there are many other big fights to be made in the future with other rising stars like Broner.
