"There's no money in fighting Rosado. He's calling out every name he can think of. Nobody wants to fight him because he brings nothing to the table. Rosado needs K9; K9 don't need Rosado. I've made money in boxing. I'm not desperate," stated former jr. middleweight champion Cornelius "K9" Bundrage, who made it crystal clear that he's not interested in a fight with jr. middleweight contender Gabriel Rosado. Bundrage contacted FightHype.com to respond to a recent interview conducted with Rosado, who said he's eager to fight any of the recognized names in the 154-pound division, including Bundrage. Although he hasn't fought since losing his title to Ishe Smith back in February, Bundrage maintains that he's in a position where he can wait for a bigger fight to eventually come his way.
"I'm in the real estate business; I'm good. I'm in a great position in the sport of boxing. I'm my own boss. I just formed K-9 Boxing Promotions Inc. I also formed a non-profit Pension Fund Foundation for Retired K-9 Military and Police dogs all around the world. My own boxing shoe, 'Warrior', will be out this fall. I will be releasing my book in 2014. God has Blessed me tremendously. I have a lot going on outside the ring," Bundrage explained. "As far as in the ring, I want nothing but big fights. I'm a world champion. I've paid my dues. Nobody gave me anything in boxing. I'm a businessman. If you aren't bringing the right money to the table, keep my name out your mouth. Bring on the big boys. If it don't make dollars, it don't make sense."
