"You know what? I don't really have to chase anyone, you know what I'm saying? I don't want to be chasing anybody. There's no guarantees that if I'm not with Top Rank, I will get a fight with Floyd Mayweather. There's no guarantee, you know what I'm saying? There's really no guarantee that I will fight Mayweather," stated undefeated WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley, who said he had no regrets whatsoever about signing a multi-fight contract extension with Top Rank, even if that means he'll never get an opportunity to fight undefeated pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather. As far as Bradley is concerned, he's content with the opportunities that he has in front of him, so there's no need to chase after a fight that may never materialize.
"If Mayweather wants to fight me, Mayweather will fight me. There's just no ifs, ands or buts about it. You know, Mayweather is in his own lane and I'm in my own lane. I'm in control of my own destiny and he's in control of his destiny, you know what I'm saying, and if our paths are to cross and he wanna get in my lane, then hey, that's fine. He has the right," Bradley explained during a recent conversation with FightHype.com. "Right now, I'm just thinking about myself, my career, and thinking about what's best for me. And whether I fight Mayweather or not, if he leaves the game without me fighting him, then see you later Mayweather. You did a great job for the sport, a great job for yourself, and here comes the new. I'm doing alright. I'm doing just fine."
