According to UFC.com, UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones suffered a leg injury in training, forcing the postponement of his highly-anticipated grudge match with undefeated contender Daniel Cormier. The bout was originally set to headline UFC 178 on September 27. Instead, Jones and Cormier will now face off at UFC 182 on January 3 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
The UFC flyweight title clash between Demetrious Johnson and Chris Cariaso, which was originally expected to be the co-main event of for UFC 177 on August 30, has now been moved to the main event of UFC 178.
