"I went back to Paris before going to London, England to look at some different venues because I'm looking to do a show out there in December...Even though I only have two fights left, you know, some days I think about signing a new contract and extending. I'm thinking about it. I'm not 100% sure, but I'm thinking about it," stated undefeated pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather, who talked about his recent European tour, his future plans, and more. BT: So what have you been up to since your last fight? It looks like you went on a world tour.
FM: Yes, I went out to France, Turkey, England, Russia and Spain. I went out to Paris for Fashion Week because of course Ricki Brazil, a close friend of mine, has a female clothing line which is truly unbelievable, so we went out there to support him. Then I went to Instanbul, Turkey for a little walkthrough they gave me. Then I went back to Paris before going to London, England to look at some different venues because I'm looking to do a show out there in December. Not me, but Mayweather Promotions. Then from London, I went to Moscow, Russia to put on sort of a demonstration, trying to show fighters how to throw their punches correct, how to be in the correct stance, and to teach them boxing is not always about offense. And then from Moscow, we went to Ibiza, Spain. So yeah, it was a good tour.
BT: I saw a video of that Moscow demonstration you were talking about. It looked like there was a good turnout and you were having a good time. Of course, the video that caught everyone's attention was the one of the woman who didn't recognize you.
FM: There's a lot of people that may not know who Floyd Mayweather is. You must realize this, there's a difference between me and any other athlete. You have to pay extra money to see me; you can watch them for free. You can just turn on any local cable or satellite network and see athletes, but with me, you have to pay. That's the difference. You gotta pay that extra money, so if you don't pay that extra money, you know what? You may not know who I am because I'm not just any ordinary athlete. I'm an exclusive, mega superstar. To watch me from your home, it costs almost $100.
BT: It's usually not that easy to get past The Great Wall [Mayweather's security team, including Adam Plant, Donald Monks, Alfonso Redic and Pat Walsh]. How did she get that close if she didn't know who you were?
FM: Yes, she wanted an autograph and she wanted a picture, but she didn't know who I was. I mean, these are the crazy things that go on. It's the same thing that happened when I was in New York City with the little radio guy. They chop and paste and cut and do what they want to do, but all that do is make me stronger. I take everything negative and all it do is make me stronger and me work harder. It's always something.
BT: No doubt. Well you already mentioned you were looking at venues in London for a future card. What else is next for Floyd Mayweather and Mayweather Promotions?
FM: Even though I only have two fights left, you know, some days I think about signing a new contract and extending. I'm thinking about it. I'm not 100% sure, but I'm thinking about it. We got Dejuan Blake, you know, he's an up-and-coming young manager in the sport of boxing. And of course we got another world champion, my second world champion, Mickey Bey, and God is good. As of right now, I'm in New York with a very, very, very close friend of mine, a business partner of mine, one of my money guys, and we out here looking at real estate, and there's nothing like New York real estate. We're sitting here right now talking about billions of billions of dollars in New York real estate. Like I said before, I got some cool friends in some cool places and they can make some shit happen at the snap of a finger, you know. So I'm out here looking at some New York real estate and I'm working on trying to get to that B [billion].
