Four-Time World Middleweight Champion Felix Sturm looked to be in prime shape at today's Media Day at his gym in Cologne, Germany, where he is preparing for his November 8 mega-fight against Two-Time World Super Middleweight Champion Robert Stieglitz at the Porsche-Arena in Stuttgart, Germany. Sturm and his new trainer Magomed Schaburow gave the assembled media an insight into the rigorous training schedule for the Stieglitz fight.
Felix Sturm: "Magomed is a great trainer. I'm happy to have him by my side. I've known him for 20 years and I've seen him work with the Sturm Box-Promotion fighters in the last couple of years. Nevertheless, he always brings something new to the table. Doing new things in training is always fun. I rarely felt better two weeks before a fight. Fighting at a higher weight surely makes it easier - everybody knows what every single pound means in boxing. The way things are going, I have no doubt in my mind that I'll be too much for Robert Stieglitz on November 8. I will defeat him!"
