"I want Pacquiao to win. I think he had a much better shot 5 or so years ago, but I want him to win because, though I understand the heel mentality of Mayweather's character, sometimes over the past, his character has been severely questioned, and at the end of the day, man, you gotta treat people like you want to be treated, period, end of story," state former professional wrestling star Bill Goldberg, who shared his thoughts on the highly-anticipated May 2 showdown between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao. Although Goldberg admits that he respects the way that Mayweather fights, for him, he's simply more of a fan of Manny Pacquiao and what he brings to the table when he fights.
"I absolutely love and respect what he [Mayweather] does in the ring. I don't necessarily love the way he fights, but I respect the way he fights because he's undefeated. So how can you not appreciate what he does? I definitely respect how he's been able to place himself as the highest paid athlete in the history of the world. You gotta take your hat off to him," Goldberg explained during a recent conversation with FightHype.com. "For what Manny Pacquiao stands for and what he still brings to the table, I still think he's got a shot. Styles make fights, man, so it's who can impose their will. I have to go with Manny because 9 times out of 10, I use my heart in my decisions."
