NATE CAMPBELL GOES OFF ON RACISM IN BOXING, MAYWEATHER VS. PACQUIAO AFTERMATH, AND MORE

"When you look at the big fight, Floyd Mayweather against Manny Pacquiao, that fight was Floyd being Floyd and Manny not knowing what to do with it. Let me tell y'all how that fight breaks down! Manny Pacquiao's offense was nowhere as good as Mayweather's defense...How could you be upset with the clinic that Mayweather put on," stated former world champion Nate Campbell, who shared his thoughts on the aftermath of the long-awaited Mayweather vs. Pacquiao mega-fight. According to Campbell, the people who are upset with the manner in which the fight played out either don't know boxing or are racist. You don't want to miss what else he had to say!

NATE CAMPBELL ON RACISM IN BOXING AND MORE:

The people that are upset are the people that don't know boxing. It's those Pactards. Those Pactards are hot right now and they are racist too. I had a guy get on my Facebook page and say every time I talk about boxing, I play the race card. Apparently, he hasn't watched boxing since the turn of the century. He has no history on boxing. The race card...every fight where there is a black man versus a white man or a black man versus another race, the black guy is considered the villain and the white guy the hero. If it's not built on race, it's built on good vs evil. I'll give you an example. When Mike Tyson fought Evander Holyfield, Mike Tyson was considered the devil and Evander Holyfield was considered the angel. "Jerry Cooney was the great white savior against that nigger, Larry Holmes." I heard white people say that when I was growing up, so don't you tell me boxing ain't racist. The problem is they're upset because a black man sits on the top of the throne and is making all of this money and they can't knock him off.

This brother [Mayweather] won a majority decision over Canelo. That just goes to show you that white people will put a guy that looks more like them color-wise at the top rather then have a black man there. That's not me playing the race card. I just know what's in the deck. The problem is so many white people forget that that card is in the deck because they don't have to play it. When I say that, I'm the bad guy. I'm trying to get a radio show put together and I'm going to talk politics, religion, and boxing. I'm going to be that guy that tells the whole truth and nothing but the truth. It's not about race for me. I love fighting. I love boxing in its rarest form. A lot of people that talk about the race card, they haven't been to another country. They booed me not because I was just black, they booed me because I was black and American.

People scratch their heads and wonder why the country is so divided, but you take a fight like Mayweather and Pacquiao; Floyd Mayweather represented this country in the Olympics, he won a medal, and yet 67% of the people that called in to give their pick on that fight wanted Manny Pacquiao to beat him. I know all of those people weren't Filipino. I guarantee you there was not one Filipino in the Philippines that wanted Floyd Mayweather to win that fight. Then you got Pacquiao's racist trainer, Freddie Roach, only dealing with black men that can make him money. I hate when white people make the statement, "He's not racist. He works with black fighters." Let me tell you something, does that make master any less racist because he had black slaves? They made money with them. What did he do with Peter Quillin when he felt he couldn't make money with him? He gave him to Eric Brown. I bet he wish he wouldn't have done that now. Nobody wants to talk about the things I talk about. The biggest selling fights in the history of boxing, the biggest selling fights were racially charged or based on good versus evil. I'm not making this up. I'm just reporting the news. How come Joe Louis didn't get a job for Coca Cola, but Max Schmeling did? A black man can't get a job for you, but the Nazi can.

People put my entire career in one big microcosm of a few fights late in my career, but I was a very good defensive fighter. I'm going to tell you how you know I was a good defensive fighter. Listen to the way that I speak. I have 50 fights at the top level of boxing. I fought Bradley, I fought Ortiz, I fought Diaz, I fought Funeka, I fought Danny Garcia. I can go on and on and on. I fought Casamayor and I fought the kid that just lost to Jessie Vargas, Khabib Allakhverdiev. But listen to me speak. I don't slur, I don't labor with my words, I don't need anyone to write my statements; that's defense. I have never been hit with a punch and cut in my whole career. I had one nose bleed in 50 fights from a punch.

Honestly, if you want to know how to beat Manny Pacquiao, don't run from him. He can't fight on the inside. You stay in the pocket. I would have fought Manny Pacquiao the same way I fought Juan Diaz; get in his ass from the opening bell and don't go nowhere. I'm not a fan of any fighter because I'm too busy breaking them down and seeing what they are doing wrong. No offense to anybody, but I've always been that way. I was like that since I was an amateur. I watch other fighters to figure out how to beat them. I'm a fan of some of them as people, but as a fighter, I find too many flaws and most of the cases, it's not their fault. Let me tell you something, if a kid is a good athlete and you can teach them the 1-2-3 and to hop in and hop out, he can become a world champion with the right people. But if you give me one guy who ain't got all of that talent and natural athletic ability, who is a hard kid, who can take a shot and got heart and he'll listen, I'll make him a world champion.
