"I like Shawn, I like Adrien, but I kind of seen that fight going how it was. Shawn, you know, he brings that pressure and I know that Adrien ain't have no big punch output. I know that was going to be his game plan, you know, just to maul him," stated former world champion Andre Berto, who shared his thoughts on Shawn Porter's victory over Adrien Broner this past Saturday night. As far as Berto is concerned, based on the style of both fighters, the fight played out exactly how he expected.
"Shawn's style of fighting, I mean, he really just kind of mauls his opponent, wrestles them, and makes the fight ugly. I knew Adrien was thinking, 'Okay, I'ma outbox him,' but I know Adrien don't really like using his legs," Berto explained during a recent conversation with FightHype.com. "He likes standing there in that little Floyd position and tries to parry off punches. I just thought he probably could've adapted a little better than that."
