"It don't really matter if I hurt my left and my right hand. My career is over. It's official. It's official," stated undefeated pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather, who officially announced his retirement from the sport of boxing immediately following his dominant unanimous decision victory over former world champion Andre Berto.
"You gotta know when to hang it up, you know. I think it's my time to hang it up," Mayweather explained. "I've been in this sport 19 years, been a world champion 18 years. You know, I broke all records. There's nothing left for me to do in the sport of boxing."
Mayweather added, "I'm financially stable, I'm well off, and I had a great career."
