"I think that's what Roy was talking about when he was talking about the Triple G thing, man. When you watch guys that box him, they all trying to run and box. And I ain't taking nothing away from Triple G; I know he a monster. I ain't taking nothing away from that boy, but everybody that get in there and box him, they not boxing what my style is. They either trying to run or their game is messed up before they even step in the ring. It's like a Mike Tyson thing. They were already scared before they got in the ring," stated fast-rising middleweight contender Morgan Fitch, who shared his thoughts on unified middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin. Fitch recently received high praise from future Hall of Famer Roy Jones Jr., who tabbed as the man to give Golovkin a truly competitive test.
"The guy that I really liked watching fight Triple G was Willie Monroe, man. If you watch him fight him on the inside, he didn't have no steam on his punches, but he was giving Triple G a little run for his money on the inside, and then after that, what happened? He just turned around and quit and I was a little upset with that. Only if he seen how good he was actually doing, it would have been different," Fitch explained during a recent conversation with FightHype.com. "But he was doing great on the inside. You can't let the monster be bigger than the moment. You gotta stand your ground and that's what Roy was talking about. We going to stand the ground and we going to box a little bit too. We going to get on the inside and get a little bit dirty too, just like he dirty on the inside. We know how to do all of it and that's what I think Roy Jones meant by that."
