IS TYSON FURY GENUINELY CONSIDERING RETIREMENT AFTER HIS REMATCH WITH WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO?

On July 9th, boxing fans from all over the world will be tuning in to watch Tyson Fury's rematch with Wladimir Klitschko at the Manchester Arena. In November, Fury traveled to Dusseldorf and was crowned as the new heavyweight champion of the world by a unanimous points decision but the legendary Ukrainian will be chomping at the bit to get back in the ring and beat the British star this summer. After all, Klitschko hadn't lost since April 2004 before that bout and the 40-year-old will fancy his chances against the sometimes erratic Fury.

But the question on most people's minds is whether Fury go through with his claim that he will retire after July's fight? The British public will be hoping that Fury reconsiders his statement, especially as the ongoing verbal feud with Anthony Joshua on social media continues to pick up pace. If Fury beats Klitschko, the boxing world may be treated to a huge fight between two of the United Kingdom's top heavyweights. While David Haye is doing his best to get back to his best, he simply doesn't attract the same amount of attention as either Joshua or Fury.

At the time of writing, Fury is priced at 10/11 to beat Klitschko in the latest boxing odds and the Manchester-born fighter will fancy his chances ahead of what is widely regarded as the biggest fight of 2016. Should Fury win, he will have a tough choice to make as to whether to walk away from the sport or face Joshua and risk damaging his legacy. To be considered as one of the greatest British heavyweights of all time, Fury must retain his title against Klitschko and defeat Joshua. Only then will he be recognised as a truly top fighter.

This isn't the first time that Fury has threatened to hang up his gloves. Back in February, the Briton claimed that he may retire before facing Klitschko in the rematch. However, it looks like Fury is going to go through with July's fight as he looks to become the first person to beat the him twice during his professional boxing career. Right now, Fury is standing on top of the boxing world and only Klitschko and Joshua stand in the way of his attempts to unify the division.

As of July 9th, all eyes will be on the Manchester Arena as Tyson Fury looks to defend his title against one of the greatest superstars in modern boxing, Wladimir Klitschko. Whatever the outcome, many will be curious to see just how Fury reacts and whether or not he follows through with his bid to retire. If nothing else, one thing's for sure, the boxing world will be tuning in to watch Fury and, win or lose, he might U-turn and call out Anthony Joshua for one of the biggest fights in British boxing history.
