Unified WBC & WBO jr. welterweight champion Terence Crawford kept his undefeated record intact after scoring a dominant 8th round stoppage of contender John Molina Jr. Crawford was in control from start to finish as he picked apart Molina with accurate shots to the body and head. Although Molina did his best to try and walk through the oncoming fire to make it a brawl, it was obvious that Crawford's superior technical skills would allow him to finish the fight whenever he wanted to.
That end finally came in the eighth round when Crawford stepped on the gas and landed a devastating series of punches to the body and head that had Molina covering up in the corner. Another follow-up series of punches prompted the referee to jump in and call a halt to the fight at the 2:32 mark. Also on the card, Ray Beltran knocked out Mason Menard 51 seconds into the seventh round.
