"Here's what I think the chances are: about the same as me being the backup quarterback for [Tom] Brady on [Super Bowl] Sunday," stated UFC President Dana White when asked about the possibility of a potential showdown between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather. Earlier today, McGregor held a Q&A session where he revealed that he's putting his UFC career on hold to focus on making his next fight a boxing match against the retired undefeated former pound-for-pound king of the sport.
Whiles speaking at the UFC on FOX 23 press conference, White laughed when asked about McGregor's statements during his Q&A, which was streamed online via pay-per-view. "When you're about to go on and do a pay-per-view that you're charging people $5 to listen to you talk, I'm sure you gotta say some pretty crazy shit," White said. "I've always shown Conor nothing but the respect and if he wants to go down that road with us, let me tell you, it'll be an epic fall!"
