Moments ago at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, undefeated multi-division world champion Terence Crawford made a dominant debut in the welterweight division, dropping and stopping former champion Jeff Horn in the 9th round to capture the WBO title. Horn tried to make it a rough and tough fight from the start, charging in at awkward angles looking to land a big right hand, but it didn't take long for Crawford to adjust.
By the second round, Crawford was already outboxing Horn, landing hard body shots and counter punches that visibly bothered the former champion. As the fight continued, it only got worse for Horn as Crawford punished him with nearly every punch he landed. Crawford really poured it on in the eight and ninth round, busting up and dropping Horn before the referee called a halt to the onslaught.
