According to multiple reports, Billy Joe Saunders has been denied a license to fight by the Massachusetts State Athletic Commission after testing positive for the banned substance oxilofrine. According to previous statements made by promoter Eddie Hearn, his scheduled clash with Demetrius Andrade is now off and the WBO has confirmed that he'll be stripped of his middleweight title.
Fortunately for Andrade and Hearn, the October 20th show will still go on. Andrade is now expected to face the WBO #2 ranked challenger Walter Kautondokwo for the vacant title. Be sure to check back soon for more details.
