Great News for Boxing fans and the Boxing industry with the announcement of the fifth annual Box Fan Expo, returning once again at the Las Vegas Convention Center on Saturday May 4, 2019 from 10am to 5pm, during Cinco De Mayo weekend.
The Box Fan Expo is looking forward and thrilled of opening its doors to boxing fans from all over the world as well to all major boxing companies, promoters and industry people during this traditional and special Mexican holiday fight weekend. We will also see later that evening, one of the biggest boxing stars, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez defend his championship belts versus another top fighter (opponent to be announced shortly) at the T-Mobile arena in Las Vegas.
From Las Vegas, the boxing mecca of the world, last year's Box Fan Expo was a huge success. Over three thousand five hundred enthusiastic fans from all over the globe had a chance to meet and greet some of their favorite fighters, including current and former world champions, top fighters of today and many of the boxing celebrities such as Thomas Hearns, Andre Ward, Mikey Garcia, James Toney, Juan Manuel Marquez, Marco Antonio Barrera, Erik Morales, Fernando Vargas, Errol Spence Jr., Shawn Porter, David and Jose Benavidez Jr., as well as Abner Mares, Badou Jack, Jessie Vargas, Zab Judah and many other top fighters who took pictures, signed autographs and celebrated with their fans during Mexican Independence Day fight weekend. Fans also had an opportunity to purchase merchandise and memorabilia from certain top fighters and companies involved in the sport of boxing.
It was also last year's Inaugural "Box Fan Expo Invitational 2018" where we had several number one and top seated USA amateur boxers compete against the best in their division and more importantly in front of boxing fans that attended the Expo as well as family and friends. Those invited to compete had a chance to also get noticed by top boxing companies and industry people that were present that day during the event. The Box Fan Expo Invitational was delighted to be sponsored by Mayweather Promotions and adidas Boxing.
The Box Fan Expo Invitational also had an opportunity to collaborate and help the Fernando Vargas Fighting Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing youth with a constructive alternative to self-defeating behavior through athletic, academics and community service programs. Their programs include role model mentors and a "giving inner city kids a fighting chance" philosophy that impacts an average of 400 kids a year.
