Bob Arum has not spoken to Al Haymon at all," stated undefeated pound-for-pound champion Floyd Mayweather, who set the record straight regarding stories about a $65 million offer that he supposedly turned down. You don't want to miss what else he had to say!
BT: What's good Floyd?
FM: What's going on?
BT: Chillin' man. I was just hittin' you up to see if you had heard the latest rumor about you supposedly turning down some $65 million offer from some people in Singapore.
FM: That's not what happened. If you want to hear the truth, I can tell you exactly what happened.
BT: Come on, you already know I want the truth. That's why I called you (laughing).
FM: No problem. I can give it to you. Basically, one of my guys thats around me, Tommy Summers, he was talking to a guy from Singapore. I didn't know nothing about Tommy talking to nobody from Singapore. The guy said he had some multi-fight deal or whatever, and then Tommy said, "If you're serious, then bring something to the table." It was an associate, Tommy Summers, who was talking with a guy about some deal. And even when he got to communicating and talking with this guy, Bob Arum and them had already made a deal with Marquez, so everything they're saying is false. I'm just saying, if Manny Pacquiao is doing such great numbers and he's making so much money, why is he so worried about me? How can anyone possibly listen to somebody [Bob Arum] who got in trouble for bribery?
BT: You said it was Tommy Summers?
FM: Tommy Summers is an associate of mine. He just told me this the other day.
BT: So Tommy was speaking to these people without your knowledge of it?
FM: It's no different than you Ben. You're my people, so if somebody knows you're around me and they somehow get your number, they may call you and say, "Let's talk about putting a number of fights together." The guy from singapore and Tommy Summers were talking about numerous fights. He was just talking. It's no different from how sombody can try to come to you and say, "Listen Ben, we know you talk to Floyd. Floyd's only giving you interviews. Yo, tell him we need to talk about this much money; we need to talk about this and we need to talk about that."
BT: Actually, I can confirm that because people have contacted me like that (laughing).

Did they offer me $65 million? Absolutely not! Absolutely not! Bob Arum has not spoken to Al Haymon at all. Bob Arum is not even on the level of an Al Haymon. Al Haymon does not believe in getting fighters, making a ton of money off of them, and if a fighter goes broke, don't care nothing about them. I can tell you this much, Al Haymon has set Floyd Mayweather up to where I'm set for the rest of my life. I don't know what nobody else can say, but everything I have is paid for and I'm set for the rest of my life.
