Moments ago, IBF & WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko added the WBA title to his collection, defeating former champion David Haye with ease via unanimous decision at the Imtech-Arena in Hamburg, Germany. Despite the rainy conditions at the outdoor arena, Klitschko dominated the bout from the beginning, controlling the action behind a consistent jab and an occassional right hand. Haye, who talked a big game before the fight, seemed to content to just try and land one or two big punches in hopes of scoring a knockout. PREFIGHT
After making the crowd wait for nearly 15 minutes, WBA heavyweight champion David Haye finally emerges from his locker room to make the long walk to the ring. He's smiling, but it's hard to tell if that's confidence. It should be noted that they put booties on Haye's shoes before he made his way to the ring due to the rainy conditions. Time will tell if the weather conditions will play a factor in the outcome. Haye looks as though he's taking it all in. There's a strong contingency of UK fans in attendance. I love the pageantry of these fights in Germany. They're doing a pretty cool intro for Wladimir Klitschko, including a skit featuring his brother Vitali Klitschko and George Foreman. Lennox Lewis was on hand for Haye's entrance as well. This is good stuff. Now Klitschko appears and makes the same long walk to the ring. He looks pissed and eager to get to the ring. Intense staredown. It's on!

Klitschko comes out quick backing Haye up to a corner. Haye circling on the retreat. Klitschko stalking. Reaching hook from Haye grazes Klitschko. Klitschko still stalking. Haye jumps in, but gets pushed to the ground by Klitschko. Jab lands for Klitschko. Again. Right hand misses for Haye. Jab lands for Klitschko. Right to the body lands for Haye. Another right misses for Haye, who seems to be content with getting in one or two big punches at the end of the round. Round to Klitschko just for outlanding him with the jab.

Haye gets in a quick left hook. Right from Haye is blocked. Not much from either guy. Ugly round, but I'll give it to Klitschko, making it an even 9-9 round after the point deduction.
