Despite reports that former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar was bringing in world-class kickboxer Badr Hari to help him prepare for his December battle with Alistair Overeem, FightHype.com has learned that it was simply a rumor. "I spoke to Badr the other day and he told me he is still in Morocco just working on basic conditioning stuff," stated Mike Passenier, long-time trainer of Badr Hari. He went on to say Badr never spoke on training with Lesnar and that the reports were simply fiction. "Badr training with Brock Lesnar is fiction," he continued.
According to Passenier, upon Hari's return to Holland, they will be traveling to Philadelphia to visit with world-class trainer Naazim Richardson simply as an introduction to see if they can further their relationship and begin working together after Bernard Hopkins' October 15th clash with Chad Dawson. "Badr will not disappoint Naazim at all. I can't wait to get the ball rolling with that," Passenier added, certain the two will hit it off. Richardson also recently contacted FightHype.com and the feeling appears to be mutual as Naazim seems eager to train the kickboxing sensation.
