Upon hearing rumblings that former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson wanted to try his hand at professional boxing after his disappointing loss to current champion Jon Jones at UFC 135, it took no time for future Hall of Famer James "Lights Out" Toney to extend a "helping hand" to Jackson to offer him a job. "This is a GSA, a Goon Service Announcement: Tell Rampage I'm looking for sparring partners," stated Toney, he let it be known via his own type of public service announcement that he'd love to see Rampage step into the squared circle with him.
Back in December of 2010, Rampage used his stint on Inside MMA to call James Toney out for a MMA fight, which led to both fighters trading verbal jabs back and forth during several interviews. Toney, who recently slimmed down to a trim 211 pounds, is currently preparing for a November 4 return to the ring to face cruiserweight Denis Lebedev in Moscow, Russia. "Let's see if he shows up, and if so, let's see if he last," Toney added. Will Rampage take Toney up on his offer and test his standup skills inside of a ring, or was he only willing to stand and bang with Toney inside of a cage?
