jaskiejm: Houston... how does it feel to be fighting in Omaha Nebraska at UFN?
HOUSTON ALEXANDER: It feels like a Husker's game. It feels like you're scoring a touchdown and have 88,000 people cheering for you.
Mont: how is training going?
HOUSTON ALEXANDER: Training is going extremely well. We're doing a little bit of everything. Nothing has changed except we're doing more reps with Jui Jitsu guys.
HOUSTON ALEXANDER: They're going to see a sea of red. You have to wear red if you come out.
ranbar: Do you get that you look like Damon Wayans? Haha
HOUSTON ALEXANDER: Maybe on a bad day. I'm in better shape.
HOUSTON ALEXANDER: LOL
HOUSTON ALEXANDER: Damon Wayans Jr. looks a lot more like him than I do.
Nebraska: Houston, after your first two wins you were on top of the world, dominating top contender Keith Jardine then Alessio Sakara, but two losses in a row are making people question if you really are for real. What do you have to say to these people?
HOUSTON ALEXANDER: These are the ups and downs of MMA. I've been doing it for nearly 10 years and I don't really listen to too many people. In the UFC, you have to get into a rhythm and when I do, it's going to be some crazy shit.
HOUSTON ALEXANDER: Once I find my swag with these guys, they're going to be in trouble.

dangibbons: What did you think of the Johnson-Burns fight? Do you think it should have been ruled a TKO win for Burns?
HOUSTON ALEXANDER: I was cleaning my house when I was waching the fights. I didnt get to watch it like I wanted to.
muaythaifan: In the Irvin fight, it looked like you just got caught cold and never really got a chance to get the fight started. Shit happens. Would you like to get a rematch with Irvin assuming you're victorious or would you prefer to maybe take on the winner of Jardine-Vera?
HOUSTON ALEXANDER: The thing with James is pretty unfortunate. Karma's a bitch with a red dress.
HOUSTON ALEXANDER: That's all I have to say about that one. We got James and Thiago on the radar anyway so I'll see them again.
fenderdg3: Houston, sorry if this was already asked because I got here a little late, but what were your thoughts on the Fydor/Sylvia fight? Thanks.
HOUSTON ALEXANDER: I don't know too much about Fedor, but I did hear the fight only lasted like 30 seconds. I hear he's a beast. I've never really watched him at all. I will watch him more because we have the same management.
CroCopolopolis: What do you think about Anderson Silva and Rich Franklin moving up to the light heavyweight division? What did you think about Silva's win over Irvin?
HOUSTON ALEXANDER: Anderson Silva will be good for that division. He will add a little flare. I wouldn't mind fighting him because he is one of the best. I've never answered this question, but I will for FightHype. I would love to fight Anderson Silva.
HOUSTON ALEXANDER: He's a real nice guy and has kids. He's on the same respect level as I am.
jaskiejm: With Eric's skills of BJJ... have you been training with anyone special to help prepare you for that?
HOUSTON ALEXANDER: Anyone that has BJJ skills, I've been using. Bob Schirmer is my main coach and he does dirty Brazilian Jui Jitsu. He does things that gets the Brazilians mad. He's the truth. Go look him up.
Mont: A little controversy with the Irvin loss, in your mind, do you think you would have recovered or was it a good stop?
HOUSTON ALEXANDER: I know the ref is looking out for the safety of the fighter, but you have to let the guys fight. I've been in worst situations.
Nebraska: It looked like you were stiff there though for a second. You could have been seriously hurt. Anyway, do you see yourself beating Anderson Silva, do you think you have more speed than he does and accuracy?
HOUSTON ALEXANDER: I personally dont know how fast the guy is, but like my coach says, "on any given day, any guy can be beat."
HOUSTON ALEXANDER: All it takes is one slip up.
HOUSTON ALEXANDER: Any given Sunday man!
Nebraska: And I gotta ask it, why did you say "Nebraska is still in the building" after the loss?
HOUSTON ALEXANDER: Because they was.
Box in Hand: Hi, Is it true that you trained yourself at first? If so where were you learning the techniques? By the way, it's great to see a black father holding it down. Best of luck!
HOUSTON ALEXANDER: For the first couple of years, but I've always been a good boxer and wrestler. I was self taught. I'm still raw and learning. I just got my first coaching staff a year ago. It's true.
dangibbons: Is this a do-or-die fight for you? Have you gotten any "unnecessary" pressure to win big in this fight...kind of like a 3 strikes and you're out deal?
HOUSTON ALEXANDER: No pressure at all. I've been in this business for 10 years and I know how to handle it. You will see the night of my fight.
fenderdg3: Who are some of your favorite fighters to watch or follow (they could be from other organizations or boxing)?
HOUSTON ALEXANDER: Mike Tyson is one of my all time favorite fighters to watch of all time.
HOUSTON ALEXANDER: He had the fastest hands. Put a prime Mike Tyson in the Octagon and a lot of fighters would be in trouble.
