Two judges had Margarito leading 96-94 and the third judge had it even at 95-95 at the time of stoppage. Miguel Cotto left the ring immediately. His face looked a mess. Margarito's face looks pretty puffy as well. "Cotto is very strong, but slowly the Tornado rumbled and I told my corner I would knock him out," Margarito stated. "Oscar De La Hoya is one of the best...if he comes through with his promise, we can give Mexicans a true battle," he continued as he made it clear who he wanted next. Max Kellerman tried to go to Cotto's locker room for an interview, but Cotto's team said he was too emotionally distraught to do an interview. Wow. Cotto got broken by Margarito.
