Early odds looked very sexy for Roy Jones. A decent, but not great value. I laid a little on Jones at +260 to win with the idea that if they widen, I'd lay a bit more on the has-been. However, in the last couple of days, the odds have collapsed hard and Jones is now only +205 at Sportsbook with Cazaghe -260. If they collapse down close to -200-225 on Joe, that's the real value.
Roys legs are gone. Remember what Woods did for 5 rounds, DelValle did for 4, Harding did four 5-6 and Glenn Johnson did for 9? Joe is just gonna keep slappin and Roy will be turtled up the entire time. I hate Joe's style. It's amateurish as hell, but Jones just can't deal. This fight is garbage, despite the 24/7 credit. HBO threw in that bone in exchange for a US fight. I'm only pulling for Jones to see Hopkins get a shot at the winner as Calzaghe would never push his luck with the judges against Bernard a second time. Then again, these retarded rematch clauses these jokers built in is sickening in its own right...especially considering that ticket sales for this one are anemic. I'm pullin for Roy (can't believe I'm saying it), but this fight is Joe's to lose.
