According to Brad Rysz of RotoExperts.com, UFC middleweight Mike Massenzio suffered a torn MCL three weeks prior to his December 27th clash with CB Dollaway at UFC 92. Despite the injury, Massenzio opted to go through with the fight and with a heavily bandaged knee, he nearly pulled off the victory after rocking Dollaway and sinking in a deep guillotine choke.
"I am a gamer and nothing in this world was going to stop me from missing that fight," Massenzio stated. Ultimately, however, he would lose the fight via TKO in what some consider to be an early stoppage by the ref. Massenzio is scheduled for surgery later today and is hoping to get a rematch with Dollaway as soon as he recovers.
