Although an official announcement has yet to be made, sources close to the situation have just informed us that UFC middleweight contenders Kendall Grove and Ricardo Almeida have agreed to face each other at UFC 101. Grove is coming off an impressive first round TKO victory over Jason Day at UFC 96 this past March while Almeida just won a unanimous decision over Matt Horwich at UFC Fight Night 18 last week.
UFC 101 is currently slated to take place on August 8 at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, PA and will be televised on pay-per-view. The main event will feature a UFC lightweight title clash between champion BJ Penn and challenger Kenny Florian. The co-main event features former UFC light heavyweight champion Forrest Griffin making his return to the ring against Thiago Silva. Other rumored bouts include:
