 |
| UFC® Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar turned to Interim Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir at the pre-fight press conference today from Mandalay Bay's House of Blues and delivered a simple statement, "I hope you're ready." Mir said he has to respect Lesnar, or anyone he fights. "I've always trained with a healthy respect for who I'm fighting…fear keeps you sharp and it keeps you dangerous." UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre presented UFC President Dana White with a gift before stepping up to the podium to admit Alves is on his mind. "Look at what he has done to Matt Hughes, Parisyan, Koscheck, there's no doubt in my mind he's going to be the toughest challenge," said St-Pierre. Alves, when asked about his weight and his preparation for St-Pierre said, "Never felt so good, never been better." UFC President Dana White hosted the press conference, describing UFC as "the most exciting live event you'll ever see." UFC 100 takes place Saturday, July 11 live from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. The sold out event is available live on Pay-Per-View starting at 10pm ET/7pm PT.
