MANNY PACQUIAO: "MY WEIGHT RIGHT NOW IS 148-49"

MANNY PACQUIAO:

"My weight right now is 148-49. Nothing to worry about moving down to 145. I'm ready for this fight," stated a ripped and ready Manny Pacquiao, who looked strong and still lightning fast during his open workout at Wild Card Gym yesterday. Although many believe that he will be the smaller man come November 14th, Pacquiao, who will be fighting Miguel Cotto at a catchweight of 145 pounds, appeared to be very comfortable as a welterweight.

"147, 140, either way," he added when asked about the possibility of campaigning at 147 pounds in the future. Considering that he's already near the welterweight limit and he's carried his power up through the weight classes, it wouldn't be surprising to see the pound-for-pound champion settle in as full-fledged welterweight. While Pacquiao's amazing hand and foot speed still seemed evident during his workout, Miguel Cotto will provide the first true test on how those attributes have been affected, if at all, at the higher weight class.
