It was a hectic scene as Floyd Mayweather Sr. made his way through the crowd at today's weigh-in for this weekend's highly-anticipated clash between Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto. "He gonna get whooped! What you want me to say? What you want me to say," Mayweather could be heard as he answered his phone. It was clear that the world-renowned trainer was no doubt in a heated debate with several Filipino fans who were in attendance to support Pacquiao.
Although it took a moment for the roar of the crowd to die down long enough to be able to hear, Big Floyd was eventually able to to speak briefly about his final take on the fight. "Oh Percy, what's up? Manny Pacquiao gonna get his ass whopped, that's what's going to happen," he stated, still debating with fans who were taunting him as he walked by. "I'm out here at the weign-ins and these Filipino fans are all over me," he continued, just barely speaking louder than the raucous crowd. "Man, Manny gonna get his ass whopped and then I want to see what they gonna say," he added.
After witnessing both Pacquiao and Cotto in person during the weigh-in, Mayweather Sr. is confident that Miguel Cotto will be victorious come Saturday night. In fact, when asked about his son's future plans, Mayweather Sr. commented, "When Cotto wins, Lil Floyd gonna..."
Unfortunately, the conversation ended abruptly as Big Floyd's phone lost connection. Obviously, we'll get much more from Mayweather Sr. very soon. Be sure to check back for much more.
