Fighthype.com recently caught up with "Trainer of the Year" candidate Brother Naazim Richardson to get his thoughts on what it would take to defeat the Klitschko brothers, who currently have a choke hold on the heavyweight division. "What Kevin Johnson did isn't going to get it. You're not going to beat them by waiting on them to punch and slipping in an occasional jab and talking shit," he stated, clearly unimpressed with Kevin Johnson's lackluster performance against WBC champion Vitali Klitschko. That being said, Richardson does not feel that either brother is unstoppable.
"I think if he fights them like he fought the giant [Nikolai Valuev], David Haye could beat the Klitschkos. I like the way he moved in and out and every time he went in, he would unleash a combination and get back out. If he was able to stagger the giant like that, he could hurt the mini-giants," Richardson acknowledged, giving credit to Haye's power and combinations punching. "Haye made the giant do the Laffy Taffy and that's not easy considering how big he is."
Naaz feels the key to dethroning the Klitschko brothers definitely starts in the gym, an attribute that Haye, unlike some of their past opponents, definitely has on his side. "You gotta come in shape to beat them brothers though because they get themselves in great shape and they can throw a lot of punches," he pointed out. "Haye is always in shape and he could crack. I like him because he talks shit and backs it up."
