I got Rashad Evans and a lot of good people coming to help me train," stated Strikeforce light heavyweight champion King Mo Lawal as he briefly took time out of his busy schedule to give fans an update on his preparations for his upcoming August 21 title defense against Rafael "Feijao" Cavalcante in Houston, Texas. PC: I want all of our readers to know I read the comments, good and bad, and a couple of them wanted me to get a hold of you. I won't keep you long because I know you're doing some pressers in Houston, but how is everything going?
KM: Ah mayne, it's all good. You know you can hit me anytime. What they want to know?
PC: How are you approaching the fight against "Feijao" and what do you think of him as your next challenge?
KM: He's a good opponent. I'm going to beat him. It's my time to be the champion and I ain't letting nobody stop that, but he's a tough fighter, so I gotta be ready. I got Rashad Evans and a lot of good people coming to help me train.
PC: I know it's not Dallas, but it's close. How is it for you to be fighting in Houston?
KM: Aw mayne, I wish it was in Dallas, but I'm just happy to be in the Lone Star State. It's going to be cool.
PC: Is there any pressure in headlining your first Strikeforce show?
KM: Nah, I was the co-main event in my first fight, so no pressure at all (laughing). You know me mayne. I treat it like another day.
PC: I know you have trained with him, but you got to hang out with James Toney at UFC 116. He spoke very highly of you. What do you think of him?
KM: Ah, he cool as hell man. Him and Dave cool as hell. I see all of these zombies want to talk shit about him, but before you say he's this or he's that, walk up to him and meet him. If you see him, go and have a conversation with him to see what kind of dude he is. James is good people, man, and he's great with his fans. James is working hard man and I said it before, he's going to surprise a lot of people.
