Today's featured missing fighter is Kendall Holt.
KENDALL HOLT
KNOWN ALIASES: Rated R
LAST SEEN: Effortlessly giving up his title to Timothy Bradley, but we hear he also graciously gave an easy win to Kaizer Mabuza.
OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION: Had a brief career stint as a money launderer in 2008 and 2009 before he was busted for delivering drug money to his manager, Henry Cortes.
Holt has been, at one time or another, a top five Junior Welterweight over the last five years, but back-to-back losses, one to division kingpin Timothy Bradley followed by another to unheralded Kaiser Mabuza, suggest that the former champion has seen his better days. Holt was scheduled to face off against journeyman Octavio Navarez on the undercard of Antonio Tarver's heavyweight debut last month on Showtime, but he pulled out of the fight altogether for no apparent reason.
More than likely, Holt's inactivity is either being caused by poor management or legal issues, as he seems more likely to end up in a courtroom than a boxing ring. At only 28 years of age, however, he still has his prime years ahead of him and can still make some noise at 140, or eve a desolate 147-pound weight class. Hall of Fame trainer Jessie Reid, who is back with ex-champion Paul Spadafora, says that they would love to make a fight with Holt happen. Seeing that Holt isn't doing anything else as of now, why not take that chance?
CAREER STATUS: Still on the stool in Atlantic City where he left it!
