It's Day 3 for Team Pacquiao in Baguio City and the pound-for-pound king continues to shake off what little rust he may have had since the last time he stepped into the ring. The day started off with news from strength and conditioning coach Alex Ariza, who revealed the name of each supplement Pacquiao was taking as he washed down a handful of vitamins with a glass of water. Shortly thereafter, it was time to go to work in the gym.
As usual, the 8-division world champion got started with a quick warm-up and some power band exercises to loosen up his stabilizer muscles and prevent some of the shoulder problems he's had in the past from flaring up. After some shadowboxing to get the blood flowing, it was time to hit a target. It's easy to understand the toll that Pacquiao's punches take on an opponent just by listening to their impact on the heavy bag. Almost effortlessly, the Champ ripped off combination after combination before ending each one with his trademark "BOOM!"
After expending some power on the heavy bag, it was time to sharpen up his accuracy as Pacquiao danced around the double end bag firing quick punches. Even more work on the speed bag would follow before the real workout began.
