"Best first week we've ever had," stated world-class trainer Freddie Roach when asked for his opinion on how the first week of training went for Manny Pacquiao as he prepares for his May 7th showdown with "Sugar" Shane Mosley. Pacquiao kicked off his training camp early Monday morning in Baguio City, Philippines, where he'll spend the first four weeks getting in peak condition before returning to Los Angeles, California for the final four weeks of training at the famed Wild Card Gym.
MPBoxing.com has been following the pound-for-pound champion throughout his training camp and judging from the video footage they've been getting, Pacquiao already appears to be in excellent shape. Evidently, Roach agrees and is extremely pleased with what he's seen during the first week of camp. That's good to hear and a far cry from what took place during Pacquiao's last camp, where Roach seemed frustrated at times with the focus of his star pupil.
