"Shane has a puncher's chance, I mean, just as he did against Floyd. Actually, with Floyd, he almost delivered, so I think that, with that being said, Shane is a very, very live underdog and, you know, if he hits Manny with the same things that he hit Floyd with, I mean, you know, maybe Shane will be looking for a rematch with Floyd," stated world-class trainer Jeff Mayweather, who shared his thoughts about the upcoming May 7th showdown between Manny Pacquiao and "Sugar" Shane Mosley. A guest on the FightHype Radio Show earlier this week, Jeff made it clear that despite being tabbed as a 7-to-1 underdog, Mosley may have a better chance of pulling off the upset than any of Pacquiao's more recent opponents.
"Shane is a big puncher. He's got good hand speed and, you know, I mean, like I said, if he hurts Manny, maybe he'll finish him. Or, who knows, I mean, Manny may survive it just as well as Floyd," Mayweather explained. "Shane is a great body puncher and, I mean, that seems to be, you know, one of the knocks on Manny is that he doesn't take a great body shot, which that's not just a knock on Manny, that's on all fighters, but that's been his Achilles heel. But Shane can still dig to the body."
