JAMES TONEY:

The highly-anticipated May 7th showdown between pound-for-pound champion Manny Pacquiao and three-division world champion "Sugar" Shane Mosley is just around the corner and everyone is sharing their opinion on who they think will win. This week, future Hall of Famer James "Lights Out" Toney was a guest on the FightHype Radio Show and he shared his thoughts on how he thinks the fight will play out. "I think it's going to be a tough fight; it's going to be a tougher fight than everybody thinks, you know what I'm saying, but Pacquiao will stop Mosley," the former middleweight, super middleweight and cruiserweight champion explained.

"It's going to be late, you know what I'm saying? It's going to be a good fight and the question is can Mosley deal with Pacquiao's speed and angles. Pacquiao fight in angles, you know what I'm saying, and the only way he's going to do that is to put constant pressure on him and I don't see Shane doing that because if he would've did that against Mayweather, he could have won the fight. But he backed off the gas in the 3rd and 4th round when he had him hurt," Toney continued, pointing out the fact that Pacquiao will have the advantage when it comes to speed and movement inside the ring. "In order for people to beat Pacquiao, you gotta put a lot of pressure on him. Pressure busts pipes."

Toney also took the time to give his opinion on the fight we all really want to see: Pacquiao vs. Mayweather. "I think it's going to be a great fight. I think Pacquiao wins because, once again, he's fast and he fights in angles. What Mayweather doesn't do, he's not busy enough. He throws 2 or 3 shots at a time and that's it. You can't be like that with Pacquiao and get away with it. And plus, he's not a big puncher. He claims he is, but we ain't seen no power," he added. Those are all valid points, and if anyone would know how Mayweather would fair against Pacquiao, it would be Toney, as many people have compared Mayweather's defensive style to that of three-division champion.
