Moments ago at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, previously unbeaten jr. middleweight James Kirkland suffered the first loss of his career after Nobuhiro Ishida dropped him 3 times en route to a first-round stoppage. Kirkland comes out fast and backs Ishida up to a corner. Ishida lands a right hand over the top though. Kirkland lands a body shot. WOOOOOOOOO...short left hand from Ishida drops Kirkland. He takes the count. Kirkland looks to attack the body again. Ishida drops another righ hand on him. Kirkland backs up to the ropes. Ishida jumps on him and lands another 1-2 that drops Kirkland again. Wow. Kirkland is up and takes the count again. Ishida all over him. Kirklands lands a left upstairs. Ishida letting his hands go though and lands another 1-2. Wooooooo...another right hand lands down the middle for Ishida and Kirkland is down again. That's it. It's over.
