FLOYD MAYWEATHER TO PAY MORE IN TAXES THAN MANNY PACQUIAO WILL EARN ON FIGHT NIGHT

Sources close to the information have informed us that undefeated pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather will pay a staggering $26 million in taxes on his record high purse for Saturday's long-awaited showdown with Manny Pacquiao. That's more money than Pacquiao will receive on the night of the fight, which will reportedly be a check for $17.5 million after a 30% federal withholding is subtracted from his $25 million base purse. While both fighters are expected to earn more money from the pay-per-view revenue, we're told that Mayweather will receive a check for more than $100 million on the night of the fight.

In this past week alone, Mayweather has already netted more money than Pacquiao will get immediately after the fight on Saturday. According to another source, Mayweather has secured two lucrative 7-figure sponsorships from FanDuel and Hublot that, combined with his outside investments, will earn him a total of $25 million without even stepping foot inside the ring. If that wasn't enough, we're told that Hublot also gifted Mayweather with one of their 6-figure luxury watches.

There's no denying that the numbers being generated for this fight are mind-boggling to say the least. Although the disparity in the reported purses is significant, both fighters have far exceeded expectations when it comes to the finances. The only question that remains now is will the fight itself live up to the hype? In roughly 24 hours, we'll soon find out.
