BT: Floyd, I know this doesn't affect you at all, but what were your initial thoughts when you heard Oscar De La Hoya was taking Canelo back over to HBO?

BT: What are your thoughts on Oscar's comments about taking the May and September pay-per-view dates back from you? It sounds like he wants to put together Canelo vs. Cotto in hopes of getting May.
FM: Listen, do it! Do it! Like I said, Mayweather loves Mexicans and Mayweather will always love Mexicans. Mayweather loves the Puerto Ricans. Mayweather loves the Latin fans. Mayweather loves the U.K. fans. The Asian fans. Mayweather loves the Filipino fans. But one thing about me, if I'm with you, I'm loyal to you and I'm loyal to the end. I was with HBO and for years, I wasn't even under contract with HBO. I didn't have a deal with them anymore. I was only doing fight by fight for years. I wasn't with no one, but I was doing a fight by fight with HBO and I was loyal to HBO. I'm with Showtime right now. We're not the B side and we're not the A side; we're the only side.
BT: So are you definitely going to fight in May then or are you still deciding?
FM: Well, you know, like I said before, if they feel like they can compete, well then let's see. I mean, you know, I don't take nothing away from Canelo or Cotto. I truly believe that Canelo is going down in the Hall of Fame and Cotto as well, but like I said before, when you're talking boxing, you're talking Mayweather, man. We need to take Canelo's last fight and look at his pay-per-view numbers and take Cotto's last fight and look at his pay-per-view numbers, put 'em together and see who done better numbers. And see what they charge for the fight also.
BT: I think they both did a little over 300 thousand, and they charged less.
FM: Okay, well, it is what it is. I don't have nothing against none of those guys. Like I said before, Oscar's a snake. Any fighter that's in boxing right now, keep a close eye on Oscar.
